The Western New South Wales (NSW) community of Nymagee has received $3,000 to ensure that the contribution of our local servicemen and women is appropriately honoured under the Australian Government’s Saluting Their Service grants programme.
Federal Member for Parkes, Mark Coulton was in Nymagee last week and took the opportunity to present the local Progress Association with a cheque for this funding.
Mr Coulton understands that the funding will help with restoration of the local Honour Board which serves an important purpose in the Nymagee community.
“The grants will help ensure that the contribution of those from our local area who have served our nation, and those who continue to serve, will be remembered and appropriately honoured,” Mr Coulton said.
“The dedication and hard work of organisations such as the Nymagee Progress Association ensures communities right across Western NSW can preserve our local wartime history for future generations.”
