Life Education, best known for its mascot Healthy Harold, will install a smart screen system in their Mobile Learning Centre with a $3,025 grant from the Federal Government.
Member for Parkes Mark Coulton congratulated Life Education and said a smart screen will allow children with learning difficulties to more easily partake in the Life Education health programs.
“Life Education brings its Mobile Learning Centre and Healthy Harold’s important healthy living, drug and alcohol program to schools right across my electorate every year,” Mr Coulton said.
“The addition of this new smart screen will ensure Life Education (and Healthy Harold) can build on the great work they already do.”
Mr Coulton said the grant has been committed under Round Four of the Coalition Government’s Stronger Communities Programme (SCP).
In July last year, the Government announced the launch of Round Four of the SCP. The Government’s funding commitment for Round Four is $22.5 million, with up to $150,000 for each electorate. A maximum of 20 projects will be funded in each electorate, with successful projects receiving a grant between $2,500 and $20,000.
