Several small and medium businesses in the Parkes electorate have received Federal grant funding towards energy efficiency measures through Round 1 of the Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises program.
Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton welcomed the announcement made on 4 July 2023 and extends his congratulations to the successful applicants from the Parkes electorate.
“I’m pleased to see local businesses are applying for available grants and that eight from the Parkes electorate have now been informed that their applications have been successful,” Mr Coulton said.
“The Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Round 1 provides up to $25,000 to support businesses to upgrade or replace inefficient equipment to improve their energy efficiency and expenditure.
“The aim is to assist industries in reducing their energy use and overall emissions, and I’m pleased to see the Government is making grants available to this end as with financial pressures bearing down on so many this is not something easily achieved without support.
“I anticipate seeing more of these kinds of grants made available and encourage local businesses to apply for future rounds of funding.”
