Federal Member for Parkes, Mark Coulton has announced that Maranatha House at Wellington will receive $3 million for capital works through the latest Aged Care Approval Round (ACAR).
“This is obviously very welcome news for Maranatha House who will be able to use this funding to undertake necessary upgrades to their infrastructure,” said Mr Coulton.
“Aged Care facilities, like Maranatha House, are vital to our communities in caring for the elderly and providing respite and dementia services.”
“The 2014 Aged Care Approval Round was extremely competitive, with two applications received for every available residential care place and seventeen applications received for every available home care place.”
“On top of the capital grant for $3 million Maranatha House was also successful in securing 8 new residential care places.”
“Maranatha will be holding their annual fete on Saturday 6 December and I encourage the community to support the organisation as it provides such a vital service to the entire Wellington community.”
Mr Coulton will be attending Maranatha House on Saturday to mark the opening of the latest extensions including a new dining and entertainment room.
