Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton has backed the local recruitment effort for Moree’s Australian Air Force Cadets for the first semester of 2020.

“If you’re aged between 12 and 16 years old in the Moree community and you’re looking for a new challenge, I’d encourage you to consider this opportunity,” Mr Coulton said.

“Youth development in our rural and regional communities is so important.

“Joining the Australian Air Force Cadets provides a great chance for young locals to meet other likeminded people, develop their leadership and communication skills and even learn to fly.”

Mr Coulton said 339 Squadron is open for interested teenagers every Thursday night in February and March.

Applicants must be an Australian resident and in good health, and must also have permission from their parent or guardian.
