Three Local Land Services regions in the Parkes electorate will receive a share in the Coalition Government’s $450 million Regional Land Partnerships program, announced recently by Member for Parkes Mark Coulton.
Mr Coulton said Central West Local Land Services, Local Land Services North West and Western Local Land Services would all see funding flow to support their critical work.
“Some of the projects that will be funded include work to support threatened species and sustainable, adaptable farming systems, as well as soil and biodiversity projects,” Mr Coulton said.
The Australian Government recently announced that it will be delivering 195 projects to regional and local communities under the program.
“Important on-ground work will be delivered under Regional Land Partnerships program and I am pleased the Parkes electorate will directly benefit from the funding.”
The Regional Land Partnerships is part of the Government’s $1 billion investment under a second phase of the National Landcare Program.
Under the Regional Land Partnerships, the Government has committed to help deliver local and regional-scale projects that support environmental and sustainable agriculture outcomes across the country.
