Residents of Condobolin and the Lachlan Shire Council area will have easy access to Australian Government services, with Mobile Service Centre Golden Wattle hitting the road soon.
Member for Parkes Mark Coulton said the Golden Wattle truck will be visiting Tullamore, Condobolin and Trundle from 8 October.
“I’m excited to see this service return to the Lachlan Shire, particularly with such a strong track record in helping people in rural and regional communities, including the Parkes electorate,” Mr Coulton said.
“There will be friendly, specialist staff available, who are ready to assist with Centrelink claims, Medicare registrations, online services and more.
“I encourage families to jump on board Golden Wattle while it’s in town and find out what support is available to them.”
Mr Coulton said a departmental social worker and a Farm Household Case Officer will be available to help locals. Staff will also be able to assist with information about Department of Veterans’ Affairs programs.
“You don’t need an appointment, and it’s free – so anyone who needs tailored support should visit the team aboard Golden Wattle over the coming weeks,” Mr Coulton said.
