Christmas has come early for Croppa Creek Bowling Club, with the announcement of a $9,135 grant for much-needed roof repairs.
Member for Parkes Mark Coulton visited the Bowling Club on Tuesday to congratulate members on their successful application, which has been funded under Round Four of the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Programme (SCP).
“This funding is an excellent investment in an important community venue at Croppa Creek,” Mr Coulton said.
“The Croppa Creek Bowling Club hosts the majority of local community events, and is where many local residents catch up on a weekend.
“I am very pleased to congratulate the Croppa Creek Bowling Club on their grant, and I have no doubt roof repairs will go a long way to keep this great venue going.”
On 31 July 2018, the Australian Government announced the launch of Round Four of the SCP.
The Australian Government funding commitment for Round Four is $22.5 million, with funding up to $150,000 for each electorate. A maximum of 20 projects will be funded in each electorate, with successful projects receiving a grant between $2,500 and $20,000.
More information about further successful projects in the Parkes electorate will be made available in the near future.
