Federal Member for Parkes, Mark Coulton spoke in the Federal Parliament last week about the positive future available to young people from Brewarrina.
Mr Coulton spoke about Brewarrina locas, Burra Mac, and his passion for photography and Nathan Johnson who is undertaking a fine arts degree at the University of Newcastle.
“These young men clearly indicate the spirit, the talent and the drive that the young people of western New South Wales have,” Mr Coulton said.
“Burra Mac is a year 12 student at Brewarrina High School and his work has become quite well know right across the West.”
“Burra Mac’s photographs show a wonderful depiction of the life of a young lad growing up in Brewarrina.”
Mr Coulton said that it was important to raise these positive stories in the Parliament that show the variety of experiences of people living in Western New South Wales.
