Telecommunications Industry Ombudmans (TIO)
The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman is a free and independent alternative dispute resolution scheme for small businesses and individuals in Australia with unresolved complaints about their telephone or internet services. The TIO is a last resort in seeking a resolution; you must contact your provider first and if you are unsatisfied with the outcome then you can contact teh TIP. Do Not Call Register
The Australian Communications and Media Authority operates the consumer site www.donotcall.gov.au on behalf of the Australian Government. You can register online, by phone 1300 792 958 or by post. By registering your number on the list you can reduce the number of telemarketing calls you receive.
