No confidence in incompetent Gillard Government

People from right across Australia converged on Parliament House to express their dismay with what Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton labelled “the most incompetent Government in Australian history.”
Mr Coulton attended the Convoy of No Confidence today at Parliament House, which Mr Coulton said highlighted that the minority Government experiment has not worked and that the public has no faith in their Prime Minister.
“It was really amazing to hear of the great distances people travelled to attend the rally today,” Mr Coulton said. “I talked with people who had travelled from right across Australia, from as far away as Charters Towers to my very own backyard of Walgett.”
“These people are just regular Australians who are trying to go about running their businesses and their properties, but have been so impeded by the bad decisions of Prime Minister Julia Gillard and her mish-mash Government that they had no choice but to come to Canberra and show their total contempt for this Government.”
Mr Coulton said it was unprecedented that twelve months after an election the public anger towards this Government was so high.
“This Government is just about new taxes – a flood tax, mining tax and of course the carbon tax,” Mr Coulton said. “The Australian public does not trust Julia Gillard and they are concerned at the direction this Government is taking Australia.”
“It would have been appropriate for the Prime Minister to address the rally, but instead she chose to hide away from the very people she claims to represent.”
“A good Government is one that does not encroach on people’s lives and livelihoods. This Labor-Greens-Independent Government has failed and the time has come for this experiment to end.”
