Community organisations in Parkes Electorate benefit from funding

Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton has welcomed the announcement that the Federal Government will provide $1,432,540.23 to three community organisations in the Parkes Electorate through the Family Support Program.
Mr Coulton has congratulated the Mackillop Rural Community Services Gulargambone, Walgett Aboriginal Medical Service Co-operative Ltd and the Wellington Aboriginal Corporation Health Service for the work they put in to secure this important funding.
“I congratulate these community organisations in securing this funding,” Mr Coulton said. “As a result of this funding the organisations will be able to provide practical assistance to parents and families in the towns of Gulargambone, Walgett and Wellington.”
The community organisations will receive funding to go towards delivering Indigenous parenting services such as parenting skills training, playgroups, relationship counseling and post-separation support.
