Coulton sends condolences to Christchurch

02-March-2011

Federal Member for Parkes, Mark Coulton has joined other Federal Parliamentarians in sending his condolences to the people of Christchurch affected by the earthquake.

Members and Senators were invited by the New Zealand High Commission to sign a Condolence Book for the Christchurch Earthquake in Parliament House today.

“The earthquake was such a terrible event for New Zealand to have to endure. The scale of destruction and loss of life is shocking and I send my deepest sympathy to the Christchurch people as they rebuild their lives and their city.”

“Our close relationship with our New Zealand neighbours has been strengthened by this tragedy and I know Australians will continue to offer assistance in any way they can to help Christchurch get back on its feet.”
