Coulton welcomes funding for the electorate

18-February-2011

Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton has welcomed Government funding under the Home and Community Care (HACC) program as it will benefit a number of services throughout the Parkes electorate.

Funding from the HACC will go towards assisting those who face difficulties in their day-to-day lives and purchasing new resources or upgrading current facilities to meet industry standards.

Mr Coulton believes the funding will have a positive impact on the entire community.

“The funding should benefit the services such as the Lightning Ridge Centre Based Dementia Day Care and the Walgett Shire Community Transport Home Care Services as well as the people who rely on them,” Mr Coulton said.

“The funding will also be used to upgrade the kitchen, toilets and fire safety equipment at the Boggabri HACC while the Lachlan Shire Council will receive two 40 litre fridge/freezers to transport frozen meals between towns.”
